      P&C Accounting has an immediate opening for a senior reinsurance accountant. This role is responsbile to provide knowledge and experience in both assumed and ceded reinsurance accounting and to design and manage IT projects within the department.

      The pay range for the position is $75,000 - $115,000 annually . The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
      Be ready to:
      • prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reinsurance ceded and assumed closings
      • complete accounting, administration, and regulatory reporting of the reinsurance portfolio
      • making decisions and recommendations for varied situations applying judgment to interpret related information, policies, and procedures
      • work with other internal and external organizations or parties frequently which may include persuasion and negotiation skills
      • ensure all task and project deadlines are met accordingly
      • perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
      Be equipped with:
      • ability to use basic accounting principles for financial statement preparation
      • strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
      • willingness and ability to learn and use accounting and analytical software systems
      • ability to effectively use Microsoft® Excel
      • good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
      • ability to work independently or collaboratively without hesitation to ask questions
      • demonstrate aptitude to lead and embrace change

      Bring education and experience from:

      • a bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
      • k nowledge commensurate with at least 5-7 years of reinsurance accounting experience (required)
      • experience with design and administration of Reinsurance Accounting Software, preferably SAP Operating system FSRI and FSCD
