- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in previous environments, including proofreading and auditing reports.
- Strong math and data entry skills.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills along with the willingness to work in a professional team environment.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and well developed skills using spreadsheet application software.
- The ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work.
- Reconciles daily sales orders, driver delivery logs, meter tickets and other billing data with customer records. Identifies, researches and resolves any errors or variances. Posts deliveries to the customer accounts.
- Prepares customer invoices. Audits all data (customer account numbers, tank locations, unit costs, discounts, delivery dates, etc.), enters and codes necessary adjustments and prints invoices. Posts invoices to control logs and prepares hard copies for mailing.
- Audits account data for new and established accounts. Ensures that discounts, pricing, exemptions or other set-up data is accurate and works with Drivers, Sales, Customer Service or other internal groups to correct data when necessary.
- Maintains Home Heating account data. Scans contracts and sets up account data in DM2. Researches assistance orders, determines taxes and unit pricing and creates sales orders.
- Audits exemption certificates for expiration. Notifies customers when exemptions are about to expire and monitors whether customers update exemption data. Changes tax status of accounts when necessary.
- Assists with department projects as needed.
- Performs general office tasks such as filing, copying, and printing documents, answering phones, and data entry.
- Prepares and stores paper records at year-end. Maintain historical record integrity.
- Perform all work on-site at assigned office location.
- Follows company policies and procedures. Completes training within established deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Extensive typing and/or data entry.
- Occasional work in document storage areas around historical records.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
