Invoice coding review and verification
Invoice reclassifications and correction
Purchase order creation and invoice match
Use tax assessment and calculation
Monitor open purchase orders and communicate issues with department directors
Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable system
Organize new vendor set up efforts, obtain vendor W9 documents, track excluded providers, and communicate with directors and vendors
Month end journal entries, reports, and other duties
Associates or higher degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or healthcare administration, OR three years accounting experience in health care or nonprofit operations.
BA degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or healthcare administration
Experience in cost accounting, multi program site operations, or grant administration for federal, state, and/or local funding
Working knowledge of accounts payable, general ledgers, journal entries, and financial statement reporting required
Working knowledge of integrated software accounting systems combined with strong computer skills including knowledge of Excel
Proven ability to analyze and validate information with minimal oversight
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse professionals
Work is generally performed in an office setting which may involve sitting and use of computers for four to eight hours per day.
May be required to lift 10 - 20 pounds.
Work may be performed out of office and travel may be needed to outside areas.
Blood-borne Pathogen Category III - No predictable exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Responsible for the daily accounting operations for accounts payable, including general ledger entries, purchase requisitions, cash disbursements, and check processing activities. Support the Full Charge Accountant in performing accounts payable and accounting tasks as necessary. Manage cash distribution and reporting. Process check payments and oversee the distribution of all payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Perform accounts payable duties as assigned, including:
2. Manage assigned purchase orders by creating POs, tracking progress, processing PO receipts, reconciling POs with invoices, and communicating relevant information with directors and vendors
3. Process regular check and ACH payment batches and off cycle payments as needed
4. Process all travel reimbursements, prepare all related journal entries, and maintain historical travel records for financial and grant reporting
5. Support Full Charge Accountant responsible for accounts payable by assisting in invoice preparation and processing, reporting, preparing appropriate journal entries, and performing other related duties as necessary
6. Assist with training staff on procedures and policies as assigned
7. Maintain appropriate process documentation for all assigned tasks
8. Manage petty cash distribution and security for the business office and manage petty cash record keeping and reconciliation for all FBH locations
9. Perform banking activities including monthly outstanding checks reconciliations, stop payment requests, unclaimed property journal entries, and report preparation as assigned
10. Process all bus pass distribution requests, prepare all related journal entries, and maintain physical bus pass security
11. Manage gift card physical security, inventory, and distribution for applicable funding sources and departments under FBH and grantor guidelines
12. Prepare journal entries in the accounting system on a regular basis and as directed by supervisor
13. Act as the primary business office contact (monitoring office access, greeting staff, managing phone traffic, coordinating accounts payable system user access needs, etc.)
14. Manage mail and package receipt and distribution within the business office
15. Maintain and enhance customer service practices to ensure all FBH customers have positive interactions in the business office.
16. Other duties as assigned.

PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt): $23.71 - $28.88*
*All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus, the starting pay is $23.71 per hour.
