Job Description

- People Management and Business Continuity (30%)
- Responsible for all people management-related processes, including staffing, performance management and discipline, time system management, communications/team meetings, etc. for AR coordinators
- Develop and implement process/procedure changes as necessary to improve the effectiveness of the accounting department
- Manage customer service, supplier A/R ensuring all internal and external customer matters are handled promptly and professionally
- Responsible for coordinating schedules to provide full coverage of tasks and fill in as needed
- Accounting and General Ledger Activities (30%):
- Reconcile AR balance sheet accounts monthly and follow up on aging items.
- Assists with balancing, close and registering of Sales Representatives routes to GL
- Supplier billing and post supplier payments
- Ensure accurate books and records and proper financial controls are in place
- A/R Management (40%)
- Manages retailer and supplier terms and recommends terms changes as necessary to improve cash flow
- Assists in monitoring approximately 4000 retail accounts averaging $20M in outstanding receivables in support of extended credit terms
- Provides recommendation and counsel in the handling of customer service issue
- Maintains account master data and executes business changes, such as routes and sales rep assignments
- Follow up and respond to retail questions or issues with A/R balances
- Follow up and respond to customer/vendor inquires in a timely manner
- Assists Accounting Manager as needed
- Supervisory Responsibilities: 2 direct reports – Accounting Coordinators
- Other Duties as assigned

- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
- 3-5 years of people management experience
- Knowledge of all applicable local, state and Federal laws and regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of VIP preferred
- Must be able to communicate professional with all levels of the organization
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time

The Headlines:
The Accounting Supervisor in Denver, CO, oversees and manages daily functions and procedures for the credit department and other accounting activities, ensuring delivery and sales activities are properly recorded in accordance with Coors Distributing Company accounts receivable policies.This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Job Posting Salary Range: $64,200 - $92,300
