What you will be doing:
The Accounting Technician 1 (AT1) is primarily responsible for performing entry-level technician accounting functions with little to no supervision. This position works collaboratively with a team of administrative and finance services (AFS) staff to ensure that the Division of Motor Vehicle's (DMV) administrative and fiscal needs are met, and that financial information is accurate.
This position's duties can include assisting in the processing and tracking of accounts receivable transactions, maintaining accurate records of receivables, performing daily balancing and reconciliation of financial accounts, as well as identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
This position may also assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and provide support to the accounting team as needed, including assistance with audits, research requests, and special projects.

Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.
