      Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Accounting Technician. Make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION; DUTY WILL BE ONE OF THE LOCATIONS LISTED.

      Duty Location: Sacramento CA, Shasta Lake CA, Glendale AZ, Yuma AZ, Lakewood CO, Loveland CO, Boise ID, Billings MT, Klamath Falls OR, Salt Lake City, Utah

      Duties at full performance level of Accounting Technician:


      Requirements


      You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
      You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
      You must submit a resume and supporting documentation (see Required Documents).

      You must meet any minimum education and/or experience requirements (see Qualifications).
      You must submit transcript(s) to verify education requirements (see Qualifications/Education).
      You must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times will result in removal from the position.
      You may be required to work overtime.


      Qualifications


      In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the education and/or specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

      To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience which includes but not limited to: automated or non-automated accounting systems; accounting transactions to balance process a wide variety of accounting transactions to verify their accuracy.
      OR
      Successful completion of 4 years (120 semester hours) of education obtained in an accredited college or university in any field. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.
      OR
      An equivalent combination of successfully completed education obtained in an accredited college or university and experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.

      To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service having demonstrated experience which includes but not limited to: automated or non-automated accounting systems; accounting transactions to balance and reconcile reports and processing a wide variety of accounting transactions to verify their accuracy and completeness of accounting data.
      OR
      Successful completion of at least 9 semester hours of graduate level education obtained in an accredited college or university may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.
      OR
      An equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education obtained in an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position and specialized experience. You must provide a copy of your transcripts.

      To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience with but not limited to: automated or non-automated accounting systems; accounting transactions to balance and reconcile reports; researching accounting transaction to detect and correct errors in prior transactions; processing a wide variety of accounting transactions to verify their accuracy and completeness of accounting data and complying with internal control procedures.

      Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.

      Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
