      Job Title: Accounting/Finance Intern

      Job Description: Pioneer Natural Resources is seeking candidates for Accounting/Finance internships during the spring and summer, 2022. These positions provide an excellent opportunity for candidates to enhance their accounting/finance skills through real world experience and also to develop a better understanding of the oil and gas industry.

      What to Expect: As an Accounting/Finance intern, you will work with a mentor on a challenging, value-adding project that will provide you with work experience, challenge your creativity, and introduce you to the practical challenges associated with oil and natural gas exploration and production accounting. You will also participate in a field trip, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about the oil and gas industry. Internships generally last for 10 to 12 weeks and are flexible depending on the applicant’s availability.

      Locations:

      Office internships are available in the Las Colinas corporate office located in the Dallas suburb of Irving, TX and in our Midland office.

      Job Requirements:

      • Preferred Degree Plan – Pursing Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Possible Project Focus -
        • Process AFE’s
        • Property database and payouts
      • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
      • Experience with relational databases, SQL and/or VBA is desired
      • Ability to work in a collaborative fashion to meet business goals and objectives
      • Ability to relate to other people and maintain good relationships with coworkers and peers
      • Must be able to respond appropriately to constructive criticism
      • Must use discretion with confidential information.
      • Good verbal communication and writing skills are required.
      • Willingness and eagerness to learn rapidly and a demonstrated ability to multi-task are required
      • Candidate should be independent, innovative, and productive with maturity and a strong work ethic
      • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
