      POSITION TITLE

      Accounting/Tax Analyst

      POSITION OVERVIEW

      This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of income tax returns, financial statements and other related responsibilities as discussed below . The job is located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and reports directly to the Director, Shareholder Office. Any travel would be minimal.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of multiple legal entities (including LLC’s, C-Corporations and S-Corporations)
      • Manage the general ledgers and financial reporting processes for each of these legal entities
      • Coordinate with external auditors in the completion of annual audits of the financial statements of various legal entities
      • Prepare budgets and budget variance analyses for various legal entities
      • Prepare income tax returns and other filings for legal entities (including LLC’s, C-Corporations and S-Corporations)
      • Win the confidence of and maintain a good professional relationship with customers
      • Prepare income forecasts and execute estimated income tax payments for legal entities
      • Prepare financial analyses for planning meetings

      QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

      • Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
      • 2+ years experience with a Big Four or regional public accounting firm
      • A very well-developed understanding of accounting, income tax and other tax matters
      • A good understanding of the capital markets (including behavior, accounting for and taxation of a variety of financial instruments)
      • A deep understanding of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
      • An ability to grasp and utilize income tax preparation software
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
      • A talent for multi-tasking, working under pressure and meeting deadlines
      • Meticulous attention to details
      • Strong analytical abilit
