      At BPAS, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to come and join our finance team. This role is a permanent, hybrid role, working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday. You will work remotely from home with travel to our Head Office in Leamington Spa once a week.

      About the role

      As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play an integral part in supporting the smooth running of our purchase ledger, credit control, and expenses processes. From entering and checking invoices to managing supplier queries, reconciling statements, and following up on overdue debts, your attention to detail will help ensure we operate efficiently and accurately.

      You'll also help maintain our expense system, petty cash, and finance inboxes, and contribute to audit preparation and data requests.

      This is a varied and hands-on role, offering broad exposure across transactional finance, with regular rotation across duties to support learning and cover.

      Main duties of the job

      • Carry out credit control duties, including chasing overdue debts and resolving sales ledger queries
      • Process invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly for payment runs
      • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies with internal teams or suppliers

      • Support the management of petty cash and ensure accurate recording of payments

      • Manage finance-related email inboxes, responding to queries and forwarding messages appropriately

      • Compile and present financial data, including preparing information for audits and annual returns

      • Support with the annual stock count and help maintain finance process spreadsheets

      About you

      You'll bring previous experience from a finance, purchase ledger, or similar accounts-based role. You'll be someone who spots discrepancies and enjoys getting to the root of issues, as well as being numerate, detail-focused, and eager to contribute to the wider team.
