      Job Title: Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist


      Job Description

      As an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and processing supplier invoices, authorizing purchase orders, and ensuring efficient payment processes. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating smooth transactions within the organization.

      Responsibilities

      • Process supplier invoices, authorizing purchase orders and proofs of receipt.
      • Take advantage of all economical early payment discounts.
      • Obtain payment approvals for non-cost of goods sold invoices.
      • Enter all supplier invoices into the payables software.
      • Issue notices to suppliers regarding rejected invoice line items.
      • Process expense reports and procurement card payments.
      • Notify managers when budgeted expenditure levels have been exceeded.
      • Issue stop payments and void checks.
      • Issue reminders to suppliers regarding uncashed checks.
      • Pay supplier invoices when due, including ACH payments, check payments, petty cash payments, and wire transfers.
      • Incorporate applicable supplier credits into payments made.
      • Research supplier requests for payment and process value-added tax reclamations.
      • Monitor supplier W-9 form submissions.
      • Issue positive pay data to the bank.
      • Update the supplier master file.
      • Reconcile accounts payable to the general ledger.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in accounts payable and invoice processing.
      • Understanding of purchase order processes.
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
      • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supplier industries.
      • Knowledge of cost of goods sold transactions.
      • Familiarity with Sage software.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Associates Degree preferred.
      • Experience from a services company is a plus.

      Work Environment

      The role is based in-office, working closely with the controller, accountant, and accounting admin. The team operates in a close-knit space, promoting collaboration and open conversation while efficiently completing tasks. The company is situated in a rapidly expanding office building, reflecting its growth and potential for future expansion.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
