  Accounts Payable Clerk

  Location: Warwick, Tachbrook Park

  Position: Full time – Permanent – Hybrid

  Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 (DOE)

Calor is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounts Payable team at our head office. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for career development in a supportive and engaging work environment.

  As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Calor, you will be responsible for processing and administering supplier invoices and credit notes in accordance with our company policies and accounting timetables. Your role will involve managing a group of suppliers, ensuring accuracy in processing and meeting targets, while handling supplier queries to ensure timely payments. You will verify newly scanned data against document images and complete supplier statement reconciliations for management review and audit purposes. Additionally, you will support the team with additional suppliers as needed, and effectively communicate with staff at all levels and external suppliers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

  You will be proactive in working to resolve outstanding queries, choosing the appropriate communication method for each situation, and supporting the audit process by responding promptly and accurately to data requests. Your responsibilities will include working with colleagues in the wider business and suppliers to resolve issues with invoices, preparing supplier statement reconciliations for review and audit purposes, and building relationships with external suppliers.

  The essentials…

  • Minimum grade C/4 in English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to work to personal targets and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ambitious and keen to develop and progress in the finance field.

  Good to have…

  • Knowledge of SAP, VIM, and Kofax.
  • Understanding of the Accounts Payable control environment.
