      Job title: Accounts Payable Manager

      Location: Preston

      Salary: c.£55,000 + dependant on experience

      What you’ll be doing:

      There is an opportunity in Shared Services for an Accounts Payable Manager, who will be responsible for all aspects of operational delivery and financial controls. You will oversee the Accounts Payable department to ensure they process invoices and reconcile accounts in an efficient and timely manner, to facilitate prompt payment to suppliers.

      Your responsibilities would include the following:

      · Manage the P2P operation ensuring the resource capacity meets the invoice volume and service demand, to ensure that suppliers are paid on time

      · You will measure, monitor and review emerging trends through KPI’s and PI’s, identifying early risks and implementing improvement plans

      · You will measure performance, initiating corrective action as required utilising route cause data driven analysis of deviation in plan and performance

      · Champion the continuous improvement culture across the team, focusing on standardisation and optimisation

      · Lead your team in contributing towards readiness for UK Corporate Reform

      Your skills and experiences:

      Essential:

      · Previous line management experience and the ability to lead, coach engage and motivate a team to achieve the highest standards of performance and accuracy.

      · Ideally knowledge of the P2P (Purchase to Pay) end to end process, including an understanding of the Prompt Payment Code regulations.

      · Knowledge and understanding of business operations methodologies, processes, toolsets and governance.

      Desirables:

      · Strong influencer with the ability to pro-actively manage a team professional communicator, confident with working with stakeholders at all levels.

      The Accounts Payable Team provide an important role for BAE Systems, ensuring that the suppliers are paid on time.
