- Manage the accounts payable team of four
- Promote teamwork and provide leadership and guidance to the AP team to attain department objectives and meet deadlines.
- Coach, train, and mentor new and existing staff.
- Provide training within the department and externally on accounts payable policies, procedures, & processes, both via telephone/Zoom.
- Ensure team meets processing timelines and month end close deadlines
- Analyze, resolve and answer complex or difficult problems presented by either direct reports , the operations team or vendors.
- Exercise a great deal of judgment and control in determining the creation and exceptions to policy and processes
- Review and approve various invoices for leased vehicles and utilities
- Approve new vendors or changes to vendor information
- Resolve vendor daily AP questions/concerns with AP team and outside vendors/TB teams
- Review monthly AP credit balance report and take action on open items
- Review month end accruals for Amex, Concur, Sales Commissions, Wholesale Advertising Co- op Allowances
- Review and maintain leased equipment schedule
- Maintain effective internal controls over the accounts payable (including PIQ & Concur) in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Maintain and prepare quarterly reports for parent company, Oxford Inc
- Develop SOPs for routine operations and facilitate cross-training among team members.
- Build and strengthen relationships with operational departments within Tommy Bahama and outside vendors.
- Actively identify inefficiencies in current processes and work to continuously improve and optimize systems, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and execute training programs for new account processes and systems, such as Concur expense report process and Plate IQ invoice processing
- Perform System Administrative functions for Concur and Plate IQ
- Work closely with Oxford Finance to make sure corporate policies are being followed.
- Prepare month-end journal entries.
- Set Up fixed assets for SaaS purchases.
- Administrator Corporate AMEX purchasing (P) cards
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related area preferred
- Generally, 5 + years’ experience in Accounting and Accounts Payable with at least 2+ years management/supervisory experience
- Proficient knowledge of processing financial transactions in a complex, high volume environment.
- Ability to understand complex scenarios and dissect the components in order to identify changes required and the impact of those changes.
- Familiar with Internal Revenue Service regulations.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices
- Knowledge of documenting and improving processes and procedures

SET THE COURSE
This position has the responsibility and oversight of the company’s accounts payable operations and will oversee all accounts payable processing and procedures. Supervises and coaches’ staff of 4.
Analyzes and resolves problems through drawing from prior experiences. Interprets policies and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of company resources.
Assist the Accounting department at month-end in preparing and posting various journal entries. Help research variances between budget and actual on the P&L

Rate Range: $78,000.000 to $110,000.00 annually
