Conduct thorough pre-audits of payment requests, verifying prices, quantities, and contract details
Enter and validate vendor invoices and payment data in financial software
Ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines, State Statutes, IRS regulations, and administrative codes
Serve as a liaison between vendors and departments to resolve payment issues
Reconcile vendor statements and distribute payments across County, Port, Court, and Clerk entities
Research and process voids and stop payments
Participate in testing software upgrades and enhancements
Support special projects and other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Minimum 2 years of clerical and customer service experience
Preferred: 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience using industry-standard accounts payable software
Strong keyboarding, data entry, and 10-key skills
Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Preferred experience with Oracle EnterpriseOne
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
High ethical standards and discretion with confidential information
Initiative and independent judgment with moderate supervision
