What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and provide accurate information to patients regarding insurance billing and payment responsibilities
- Read and decipher Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents
- Ensure accurate patient information, including billing details
- Research authorization benefits with insurance companies or online resources
- Validate and process refund requests from patient inquiries

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
- At least one year of ophthalmology billing experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM); NextGen experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred
- Knowledge of insurance processes and healthcare experience is strongly preferred
- Prior customer service or call center experience
