The Role

Our Corporate Finance Department is looking to welcome an Accounts Receivable Clerk to our Vancouver team. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting our Accounts Receivable function, as well as performing general accounting and administrative duties. A successful candidate will be someone who can be proactive and take initiative in solutioning AR problems which arise, be an excellent communicator, and be someone who can be flexible in a fast-paced work environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Own assigned areas of accounts receivable including invoicing, collection, cash application, payment reconciliation, resolving payment issues, etc.

• Ensure timely deposit of cheques per weekly schedule or as dictated by value.

• Respond to AR enquiries from external & internal customers in a timely manner.

• AR support and ad hoc assistance.

• Support AR activities in a multi-currency environment (CAD, EURO, US).

• Balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Assigned journal entries.

• Assist with ad hoc duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

• A minimum of 1 - 2 years of accounts receivable experience.

• Proficient in MS Excel.

• Finance/Accounting Education is preferred.

• Technologically savvy with an ability to learn new electronic systems.

• Formal accounting training is preferred but not required.

• QAD and Blackline experience is an asset.
