What You’ll Take Ownership Of:

The Accounts Receivable Associate position plays an important role in the financial stability of Acme Tools. This position will be involved in the following: Researching credit applications, updating accounts, collecting and resolving payment issues for our customers

• Preparing and sending monthly account statements to customers
• Preparing and sending past due reminders to customers
• Responding to sales tax related questions
• Conducting credit investigations for new credit and finance applications
• Completing credit reference requests
• Researching and resolving payment discrepancies
• Reconciling customer disputes, short, or skipped payments
• Weekly meetings with management on progress and status of open issues
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Love-To-Haves:

• Associates’ Degree in Accounting, related field OR equivalent experience
• Prior experience in AR/billing/collections
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to keep a high degree of confidentiality of information
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and take initiative
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be tenacious and personable, with excellent customer-service skills
