What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform ICD and CPT coding, data entry, and claims processing for various medical services
- Scrub claims for clean submission and address appeals/denials promptly
- Collaborate with billing companies, hospitals, and insurance payers as needed
- Conduct coding audits and participate in educational sessions directed by management
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required; CPC certification is a must
- 3-4 years of experience in coding and/or medical office billing
- Proficiency in EMR software functionality and multiple Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced knowledge in E&M and procedural coding preferred
- Ability to respond to claims questions and denials effectively

- Specialty clinical experience in Gastroenterology
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care and customer service
- Experience in a fast-paced office setting with the ability to prioritize tasks
