What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform accurate and timely follow-up on unpaid and underpaid claims, determining reasons for denials and processing corrections
- Identify root causes and denial trends, making recommendations to leadership to prevent future denials
- Conduct eligibility and claim status inquiries using various tools and document all actions taken
- Participate in team meetings to discuss denial trends and contribute to workflow improvements
- Meet established productivity and quality metrics, collaborating with supervisors to enhance performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
- Knowledge of healthcare billing, including CPT/ICD-10 coding and various insurance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
