What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims to meet or exceed collection targets and minimize write-offs
- Research claim denials and correct/reprocess claims for timely payment
- Identify root causes of denial trends and recommend solutions to prevent future denials
- Participate in team meetings to share denial trends and enhance front-end claim edits
- Meet established productivity and quality metrics for the accounts receivable department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
- Knowledge of healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and various insurance claim requirements
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
