Job summary
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), the post-holder will exercise higher levels of professional judgment in assessment and clinical decision making, drawing upon appropriate and contemporary evidence and will undertake Non-Medical Prescribing within the context of the Hospice Inpatient Unit.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work as a member of the Medical Team, working closely with the nurses and multidisciplinary team. Working with the Head of Clinical Services and Education, they will explore and develop opportunities for nurse-led services and demonstrate a proactive influence on multi-disciplinary collaborative working, internal and external to the hospice. The hospice adopts the Multi-Professional Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice in England , expecting the post-holder to work in line with the four pillars of advanced practice.

We are an 8-bed hospice located in South Cumbria, dedicated to caring for patients at the end of life or with life-limiting conditions. Our team benefits from consultant and pharmaceutical support from SCUK. At St Marys, we prioritise the wellbeing of our employees, with great staff benefits including free complementary therapy sessions.
