Active Directory Domain Services (AD-DS), including knowledge of Active Directory Structure, Group Policy and Authentication methods
Azure Active Directory and supporting tools such as Azure Active Directory Connect
Using Azure AD to configure Sign Sign-on using SAML/OAuth.
Name Resolution via DNS and WINS
Active Directory Lightweight Services (AD-LDS )
Foundational level of understanding of Azure Active Directory and Hybrid Identity
Strong communication skills are a major benefit, needing to communicate complex technical issues and solutions, to a variety of Stakeholders with differing technical knowledge
Knowledge of other Active Directory / Identity tools such as FIM, Quest Change Auditor and Active Roles would be an advantage
Foundation level of understanding of scripting in Batch, Visual basic script and PowerShell
Foundation level understanding of Agile and Systems thinking would be beneficial
We expect our technicians to have a good round understanding of IT Technology particularly in the Windows world as well as becoming specialists in Active Directory Technology
You should also be prepared to provide 24x7 support to the supported platforms but outside of this we could consider working patterns that work for everyone.

The engineers use their knowledge and expertise in a variety of methodologies and toolsets to assist with designing, implementing and developing integrated customer-centric technology solutions that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect.
Engineers will have the opportunity to develop their technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role. The will also be expected to build close working relationships with stakeholders and supporting operational teams

The Directory Services Team are responsible for support of the Infrastructure Applications aligning to Active Directory the core Microsoft technology components that underpin the Lloyds Banking Group IT infrastructure, primarily production Active Directory (Global) and (Azure) Microsoft’s multi-tenant, cloud based Active Directory and Identity Management. In addition to our support and project delivery capabilities for production environments, we also provide equivalent support for the associated development and route-to-live Domain environments.
Team responsibilities also include maintaining and supporting all road maps for AD supporting Services, partnering with Microsoft and Projects on all related project deliverables, and assess the capacity impact on new AD aware applications and help coordinate Business Projects e.g. Active Directory, Security deliverables.
We also assist with Domain Governance queries e.g. Microsoft Azure, Patching, Compliance e.g. Cyber Portfolio, AD hardening, AD Restructure with strong focus on Change, Incident and Problem Management and wherever possible Incident Reduction and Service Improvements.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week onsite working. Our Directory Services Team are based in Leeds / Gloucester / Manchester / Cardiff / Birmingham.
Salary: £45-50K
