Job Summary:
To plan, organize, and execute activities that enhance residents’ quality of life while considering their abilities and interests, provide person-centered care, and ensure compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Planning and Implementing Health Care Resident Activities: Collaborate with the Enrichment manager to create and execute a comprehensive activity program for residents. Tailor activities based on assessments, care plans, and individual preferences.
• Documentation and Compliance: Timely (daily) and accurately maintaining records of activity programs, attendance, and resident participation. Ensure compliance with state regulations and safety standards related to resident activities.
• Resource Management and Coordination: Coordinate with the manager to purchase supplies within the budget. Oversee program arrangements, including room setup and equipment availability.
• Promoting Activities: Use flyers and personal invitations to promote activities and excursions. Distribute monthly calendar so that residents and associates are aware of upcoming activities
• Assists residents from activities, programs and events. Appropriately encourages participation.
• Completes comprehensive initial, quarterly, and annual assessments of each resident and participates in and implements care plan meetings, collaborating and coordinating with all associated team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Ensure resident safety during all activities, whether inside or outside the community, complying with community safety regulations and policies and any regulatory requirements.
• Assist with coordination of Animal Therapy visits.
• Ensures that each resident receives their daily mail and forwards all mail after a resident moves or passes away.
• Contributes extensively towards achieving departmental goals and objectives.
• Treats all ‘persons’ with respect and is a team player within department and the organization.
• Must have a working knowledge of whole person wellness and resident centered care
Qualifications
Education and experience required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of college preferred.
• At least 2 years of MS Office Suite Skills Preferred.
• Activities director certification and/or previous experience a plus.
• Certified as an Activity Professional by a recognized accrediting body preferred.Schedule: 8:30-5pm or 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Weekends as needed
Pay: $21-$24 an hour
