      Activity Aide Part-time

      Job Summary:

      The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

      Essential Duties:

      · Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.

      · Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.

      · Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.

      Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
