About the Role
You would be joining a team that oversees the improvement of the valuation for L&H EMEA markets (including UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa). You would be using seriatim data to project the future value our business, by gaining a deepen knowledge of multiple markets.Key responsibilities include:
o Developing a sound understanding of the underlying risks on the Balance Sheet and using this knowledge to facilitate proactive management of the in-force portfolio.
o Producing and analysing the impact of the new data to the valuation results, across all reserving bases for our in-force L&H business in selected markets.
o Developing creative and pragmatic solutions to value the business when seriatim data is not available.
o Making recommendations of opportunities of improvements and alignment of processes.
o Encouraging and facilitating the use of the latest technologies and methodologies in valuation and reporting and developing pragmatic solutions to business problems.
o Making actuarial and business recommendations based on professional judgment and experience.About the Team

About You

You are passionate in bringing new insights in a collaborative setting. We are also looking for individuals who have:
- 2+ years of working experience in L&H reinsurance;
- University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science
- Fully qualified actuary or partly qualified actuary with desire to pursue actuarial qualification
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritize accordingly
- Ability to drive your own projects and engage the appropriate stakeholders
- Strong desire for continuous growth and developmentNice to Haves:
- Understanding of internal data and valuation infrastructure
- Familiarity with the range of Life & Health insurance products and reinsurance structures written in EMEA markets
