      A day in the life.

      As our Actuarial Analyst on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll be responsible for analytical tool development and support to a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally with our clients. You will work with a team of clinical and benefit advisors to develop strategic approaches for our clients based on clinical and actuarial data. This position will be integral in all aspects of analysis and modeling of clients’ medical and pharmacy costs and their drivers. In addition, this position will be heavily involved in modeling and communicating the financial impact of changing medical and/or pharmacy networks with our locally developed pricing models that support Marsh McLennan Agency nationally. You may also have occasional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, as needed.

      We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

      • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field required.
      • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through coursework and experience.
      • Completion of at least one actuarial exam is strongly preferred.
      • Energetic, self-motivated, and committed; consistently shows initiative and follows through on projects to meet deadlines while working independently.
      • Effective communication, persuasion, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail; reviews and revises work as needed.
      • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as data management and database tools; skilled in using the Internet for business research and communication.
      • Identifies and implements new processes to enhance company efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

      These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

      • Current Life & Health licensure or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
      • Prior broker experience
