What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct key analyses and research to support new solutions for complex client problems
- Utilize Excel for data preparation, accuracy checks, drafting reports, and documentation maintenance
- Perform predictive modeling using GLMs and non-linear methods primarily in SAS, Python, and R
- Draft written reports and prepare state regulatory filing support documents
- Collaborate with project team members and present findings to peers and clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as actuarial science, data science, mathematics, or statistics
- Minimum of two actuarial exams completed and actively pursuing a credential from the Casualty Actuarial Society
- At least one relevant internship or up to four years of professional actuarial experience
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
- Experience with programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, and/or SQL
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One or more actuarial internships
- Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
- Proficiency in statistical and modeling tools such as @Risk, VBA, or STATA
- Familiarity with database tools like Access and PowerPoint
- Up to four years of professional actuarial experience
