- Support aspects of the regulatory cost filings for existing and new lines of business across the entire company. Note: To be considered for this Actuarial Analyst role, this position requires a minimum of one exam passed under the Society of Actuaries Exam Syllabus and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Ensure that all regulatory financial reports, supplemental reports, and financial report audits (where applicable) are accurate, in compliance with applicable regulations, have appropriate sign off, and are submitted on time.
- Ensure that all regulatory financial reports are reconciled to the general ledger, encounter data, and/or audited financial statements.
- Work collaboratively with Market and Regulatory Affairs partners to coordinate and prepare responses to follow-up questions and concerns from state regulatory agencies.
- Work collaboratively with Market, Accounting, Actuarial, Medical Economics and other departments to understand and gather the financial data required to produce the required regulatory reports.
- Use tools to develop processes and implement procedures for gathering, categorizing, and allocating claim and financial data. Tools include but not limited to data warehouse tables, Medical Economics data, Actuarial data, Access Databases, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Proactively work with Accounting department to ensure that various financial data is recorded to the correct entities/accounts/product lines and can be segmented in a manner that meets cost reporting criteria.
- Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years of actuarial experience.

Education/Experience:
Highly referred: Technical experience with Excel, and coding (SQL/SAS).
License/Certification: Passed one actuarial exam.
*Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States. However, due to the needs of the business, this role must be performed 8 am - 5 pm EST/CST*
Pay Range: $54,000.00 - $97,100.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.
