      Job summary

      Symphony Healthcare Services has an opportunity for an experienced Acute Practitioner to join our passionate, multidisciplinary teams across the SSW Primary Care Network Practices.

      The post-holder will be expected to work flexibly across all practices within the South Somerset West Primary Care Network. This includes:

      • Martock Surgery

      • South Petherton Surgery

      • Hamdon Medical Centre

      • Crewkerne Medical Centre

      • Ilchester Surgery

      • Buttercross Health Centre (Somerton)

      The hours available are 9.5 hours per week. Working pattern to be discussed at interview.

      The annual salary for this post is £47,565 per annum (pro rata for part time workers) and the option to join either a NHS or NEST pension, as one of our many SHS benefits.

      Main duties of the job

      Working within their professional boundaries, the post-holder will provide care for acutely presenting patients including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and coordination of any necessary follow-up. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making with a strong evidence basis, for patients within the same-day urgent care setting, in accordance with published clinical pathways, policies and protocols.

      • Understanding of the NHS GP Contract.
      • Excellent analytical skills, including analysis of data.
      • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
      • Demonstrable commitment to and focus on quality and safety.
      • Strong IT skills.

      Desirable

      • Ability to collaborate constructively with internal and external partners to create the conditions for successful partnership working.
