      Job Description Summary

      Responsibilities include facilitating/teaching Pharmacy Technician topics with fully immersive hands-on practice lab skills sessions, instructional planning, and delivery of national healthcare certification programs. Candidates may participate in seasonal instructional activities, collaborate on innovative course updates and revisions. We are seeking high energy certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist to join our team to teach future healthcare professionals using innovative tools and virtual simulation. Note: On-going professional development opportunities and In-house training provided.

      Candidates should be innovative energetic educators with three years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist field. Proficiency using computer technology to aid in teaching adult learners within Learning Management Systems such as D2L, or Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, Instructure Canvas, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.) Ability to facilitate teaching pharmacy technician course and provide explanation for students for today’s multi-generational learners.

      Candidates should demonstrate: (1) mastery of specific discipline; (2) experience designing training materials; (3) a deep commitment to education and professional development; (4) possess valid certification in Pharmacy Technician (such as NHA’s Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida and (5) proficient use of technology.

      Minimum Qualifications :

      • High School diploma or GED, graduated from a Post-Secondary school with a focus on Pharmacy or as a pharmacist or as a certified Pharmacy Technician.
      • Possess current and valid Pharmacy Technician certification credential such as NHA’s Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential or licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida with clean background.
      • Completion of the National Health Careers Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential.
      • Completed education for Pharmacy Technician along with certification.
      • For pharmacists, completion of education with appropriate degrees in the United States along with licensure in Pharmacy in the State of Florida.
      • Possess current certification as a Pharmacy Technician or licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida. Adjunct instructors require strong communication skills and the ability to provide hands-on skills training to students related to the Pharmacy Technician occupation.
      • 3-5 years of current experience in the pharmacy or Pharmacy Technician field.
      • Experience teaching diverse adults.
      • Experience developing training materials.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • High level of computer & technical competency.
      • Knowledge of national certification requirements.
      • Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting.
      • Available to conduct training during weekdays or evenings.
