      General Summary

      Indiana Tech is seeking Adjunct Faculty for our online environment. Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for teaching prepared and well-defined courses and assist with the assessment of student learning, as appropriate. The successful candidate will teach Sport Management courses (Online) in the Undergraduate and/ or Graduate programs as the need arises. Types of courses to be taught include Introduction to Sport Management, Sport Leadership and Ethics, Sport Facility and Event Management, Sport Marketing, Sport Management Field Experience, Sport Leadership and Administration, Sport and Communication, and Human Resources in Sport.

      Principal Duties & Responsibilities

      • As needed, instruct courses as defined by course and learning objectives established through the college and defined in teaching letter of agreement.
      • Grade all assignments within 72 hours of the respective course deadlines.
      • Reply to students within 24 hours.
      • Report final grades for all students.
      • If required, collect assessment data for the course.
      • Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population.
      • Support efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented. students.
      • Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology.

      Qualifications & Experience

      • Master’s degree required; a doctoral degree is preferred.
      • Previous higher education teaching experience (both face-to-face and online environment) preferred.
      • Strong technological aptitude. Knowledge of Blackboard, Canvas, Microsoft Office, and Blackboard Collaborate preferred.
      • Strong history of relational approach in the classroom.
      • Five years or more industry experience preferred.

      Working Conditions

      Work is performed in a classroom environment or may be an online/remote working environment. Candidate must be able to provide own sufficient and secure internet connectivity, as well as work environment in which confidentiality and productivity can be maintained. Candidates will not be provided with a computer and must own or have access to a Windows-based computer.
