      Job Description: Arcadia University invites applications for a part-time adjunct instructor to teach Drawing I and Drawing II in the Department of Art & Design.

      Location: Glenside

      Responsibilities :

      • The ideal candidate will be committed to inclusive, student-centered teaching and able to engage students in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
      • Each class meets twice weekly in three-hour sessions over a 16-week semester. This position is contracted on a semester-by-semester basis.

      Qualifications :

      • These courses introduce students to perceptual, conceptual, and technical approaches to drawing and are expected to incorporate diverse perspectives.
      • We seek an instructor with an MFA or equivalent degree who demonstrates a strong foundation in drawing practices-ranging from observational to experimental methods-and a working knowledge of art history relevant to the course content.

      The number of part-time instructors hired by the department varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the program.
