What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach a structured packet exchange course for one student, fully online
- Read and critique student fiction, providing detailed feedback and line edits
- Meet with the student at the beginning of the quarter to establish expectations and goals
- Offer guidance on style, structure, tone, character development, and narrative structure
- Assist students with query letters and submission venues

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- Published novel or collection of short stories with a literary press, small press, or major publisher
- Strong knowledge and skills in teaching creative writing techniques
- Ability to evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching creative writing or related courses in a higher education setting
- Advanced degree in Creative Writing or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in a specific genre (literary fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.)
- Experience mentoring writers and helping them develop their craft
- Familiarity with industry trends and submission processes
