Job Description
- Req#: 33159
- 25% Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the Adjutant Member Services Programs, i.e., Social Service Programs, Volunteer Services, Religious programs, Barber, and Library services
- 25% Serves as full line supervisor.
- 25% As designee of the facility, keeps contact with other State Veterans' Nursing Homes to keep abreast of Member Services changes.
- 20% Maintains records and data to support member services programs.
- 5% Performs other duties as required or assigned that are within the scope of the duties enumerated above
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in business or public administration.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
- Extensive knowledge of agency or departmental programs and service objectives, activities, and operational systems
- Extensive knowledge of agency or departmental policies and procedures
- Four (4) years of experience analyzing administrative problems and adopting an effective course of action; developing, installing, and evaluating new and revised methods, procedures, and performance standards; exercising judgement and discretion in developing, implementing, and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
- Honorable discharge from the U.S. armed forces
- Requires the ability to pass a background check.
- Requires the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
- Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
- Requires ability to acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
- Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
- Requires use of agency-supplied equipment (mobile phone, laptop, etc.).
- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends. This also requires the ability to work in a 24 hour ‘on call’ capacity.

This position will serve as the Adjutant of the facility Member Service program, regarding changes and contact member relatives regarding their welfare.
