      Job summary

      North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre has an opportunity for a temporary administrator to join our busy practice support team for 12 hours per week, on a Wednesday and Thursday. This role is offered on a fixed term contract for 14 months to cover maternity leave.

      We can be flexible with start and finish times. Full training will be provided.

      Main duties of the job

      • Summarising patient notes.
      • Registering new patients.
      • Scanning and coding all medical correspondence coming into the practice.
      • Typing referrals.
      • Dealing with patients enquiries.

      The North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre was formed in April 2015 following the take over by The Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery based in Halstead.

      • At least 2 years of admin/secretarial experience, ideally with experience working in a busy GP surgery using SystmOne.
      • Excellent keyboard skills.
      • Good standard of written and spoken grammar.
      • Attention to detail.
      • Ability to quickly learn and accurately implement new processes.
      • Ability to work quickly and under pressure.
      • The successful candidate will be subject to a standard DBS check and references.
