- Maintains confidentiality of reports, documents, and records. This includes personnel files, staffing and position control records, financial reports, project/proposal reports, financial plans and operating strategies.
- Maintains regular contact with all levels of management, staff, and physicians within the Medical Center.
- Collaborates with other UCM entities by gathering data, relaying messages, obtaining information, research issues, work on various project and committee assignments, as directed.
- Manages and administers a wide range /variety of word processing/spreadsheet/power point tasks in final form, which are often confidential in nature and may require, detailed proofreading and/or grammatical changes for accuracy.
- Manages daily operations for the Office, organizes multiple tasks, identifies, and implements methods of improving daily operations.
- Identifies functional or operational changes needed as part of the department support team function for service improvement; draft for management review written policy/procedures for these suggested changes.
- Completes and oversees specially assigned projects with minimal supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinates with department administrative team members in regular ordering of supplies, completion of work orders, submission of invoices for payment, etc. for facility as needed.
- Is an essential part of physician credentialing for both the Hospital and ASC.
- Works with the UCM Medical Staff Office to ensure proper processes are followed and documents are completed and corrected in a timely manner.
- Prepares packets for Medical Executive Committees.
- Prepares agendas and documents and takes minutes at Medical Executive Committee meetings.
- Assists with organization of the Crown Point facility Quality Committee – schedules meetings, confirms attendance, prepares materials, takes minutes, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum seven to ten years of increasingly responsible administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in a complex health care or professional office setting.
- Documented proficiency and advanced skills in a variety of computer software applications (including word processing, spread sheets, presentation applications).
- Prefer applicants with advanced skills in relation to Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Strong sense of service orientation in responding to the needs of internal and external customers.
- Must be able to independently and professionally interact with customers, both internal and external to the Hospitals; strong interpersonal skills required.

Job Description
Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine Crown Point, located in Crown Point, Indiana, as an Admin Services Coordinator. UChicago Medicine is an integrated academic and community health system with multiple primary medical facilities within the surrounding suburbs of Chicago. UChicago Medicine, Crown Point is a new two-story, 130,000-square-foot multispecialty care center and micro-hospital in Northwest Indiana for what will be the academic health system's largest off-site facility and its first freestanding building in Indiana.
The Admin Services Coordinator will work on various tasks/projects concurrently with the need to prioritize as dictated by management needs. Performs work independently or as well as part of the UCM Crown Point Leadership team as required. Provides management of the budget, and development of communications on behalf of the Executive(s). Consistently manages and administers all office and business functions related to the day-to-day operations of the building.
