Job summary
Offering general assistance to the Practice team. A key player in offering patients, visitors and other agencies a pleasant and effective communication with the surgery. Undertaking general administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. A thorough knowledge of the practice protocols and procedures is required as is good communication with all staff teams.
Main duties of the job
Responding to and forwarding communication from patients and external organisations.
Managing internal communications
Scanning and photocopying
General administration
Reports
Subject access requests
Supporting the administration and practice management team in other ad-hoc duties as required

We are a large practice based in the centre of Wakefield with 27000 patients. We have 10 GP partners who work at both our main site and at our branch site, Sandal Castle Medical Centre. Our wider team consists of Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Advisors and Trainee GPs. We offer a range of services to our patients and operate an innovative access system to enable our patients to access primary care services with ease.

A team player that can also work with minimum supervision and is willing to be flexible when necessary; Someone able to strictly observe patients rights to confidentiality and strictly adhere to practice policies and protocols. All staff must be able to provide a high level of customer service with excellent written and oral communication skills.
