      Job summary

      The Lodge Health Partnership maintains excellent electronic medical records and the main responsibility of this post within the Coding/Admin Teams is to ensure that both new and existing patient records are up-to-date and accurately coded and recorded on Ardens within EMIS, the Practice clinical system. This will be carried out in accordance with the Practice Summarising Protocol. In addition, this post is required to support administration responsibilities.

      Main duties of the job

      This role is integral for the surgery, providing daily support with the incoming post and documentation received by the surgery and processing this in the correct way. You will also be involved in the admininstration process supporting patient's insurance documentation.

      About us

      The Lodge Health Partnership is a 3 sites GP surgery supporting St Albans, Redbourn and the surrounding area. This role would be supporting the coding and administration teams over 30 hours Monday to Friday. Training can be provided. Free on site parking

      Receive all incoming post to the surgery, scan, input and accurately code daily communications to record appropriate medical information in patient records.

      Prioritise and distribute, via electronic document management, appropriate patient information and correspondence.

      Ensure safeguarding issues are raised with the Practice Safeguarding Lead or Practice Manager.

      Ensure any other important correspondence is prioritised and distributed to the appropriate people in accordance with training and guidance.

      File and retrieve information as required.

      Utilising a range of computer software may be required to deliver the requirements of the post including EMIS, AccuRx and more. Training will be given.

      Supporting administration related to patients insurance reports and claims.
