      Job summary

      Band 4, Orthotics Administration Team Lead (37.5 hours per week)

      Within therapies we have an brand new opportunity for a B4 Administration team leader to oversee the administration teams at our four main orthotic departments. The job involves supporting therapy services to maintain and develop the interface between ULHT and our contracted provider. The role comprises of, supporting staff in their day to day admin duties, ensuring management of waiting lists and department statistics, training new staff and working along side management and therapists to ensure efficient admin processes across the trust.

      This post is a Trust wide post with a commitment to work along side clinics at Lincoln County Hospital for 2 days and Grantham District Hospital for 2 days, The final day will be committed to administration work linked to the role and working with the Operational Service Lead on service developments.

      Main duties of the job

      Responsible for providing an effective, efficient and professional outpatient appointments service.

      This includes;

      • Providing a customer focused booking service
      • To undertake 1st line management duties including ensuring staff training and development, performance management, Grievances, appraisals, absence management and staff adhere to the Trusts required behaviours and policies
      • To assist the Operational Lead in the provision of outpatient appointments and Reception Service to ensure both national and local targets and protocols are met, and data captured is relevant, timely and accurate.
      • To supervise a team of staff ensuring rotas etc. are managed for the relevant team. Ensuring absence management and return to work interviews are conducted and system updated accordingly. Health Roster is accurate with hours worked, to ensure staff get paid correctly and on time.
      • To invoice and ensure that there is a robust quality check process for all orthoses
      • To participate and assist in the implementation of service developments.

      • Foundation Management Course or equivalent relevant experience

      • Supervisory qualification
