- College Diploma (2 years) or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years of recent related experience in administrative, communications, and events support in an office environment, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
- Experience updating and maintaining digitalplatforms (e.g. websites and social media).
- Experience with event logistics supports, including room and AV equipment bookings and arranging catering.
- Experience providing front-line reception service.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written abilities.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills in: MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email (e.g. Outlook), electronic calendar organizer, social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite, Drupal/WordPress (or similar content management systems).

Your opportunity:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, TCard Services, St. George Campus, the incumbent supports the department's administrative and communications needs, including events, programs, and initiatives. The Administrative and Communications Officer coordinates the production, printing and distribution of department newsletters and communications materials, and performs ongoing maintenance and updates to the department's various digital platforms; provides front-line and administrative support to the team, including serving as a backup by providing reception/front-line services for the Department by attending to queries from visitors, in e-mail, and through phone calls, and directing concerns to the appropriate staff. The incumbent also provides the first line of support to staff at our tri-campus partner offices by troubleshooting, referencing existing resources and escalating when necessary.
