      JOB SUMMARY:

      • Provides confidential support to the Executive Team and management team of Harrah’s Casino North Kansas City in the preparation, coordination, communication and follow up processes of their various assignments.
      • Adheres to the guest service requirement listed above.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

      • The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the entire Executive team as needed.
      • Prepares and types correspondence, forms, reports, charts and graphs.
      • Ensures competency of work from the standpoint of grammar, composition and format.
      • Sets up and maintains files and records, makes copies and travel arrangements as needed, takes, places, and screens calls, purchase of office supplies.
      • Maintains SVP/GM’s schedule.
      • Receives and distributes property mail daily.
      • Represents the GM’s office at Civic and Community functions as needed.
      • Handles additional projects as requested.
      • Sets up and maintains all files and records, as required.
      • Adds reward credits as needed to guest records as requested
      • Supervises the mail/copy room functions.
      • Greets persons calling for the SR VP/GM and VP of Ops/AGM, in person or by phone.
      • Arranges for meeting rooms and necessary equipment and services.
      • Maintains the strict security and confidentiality of all files, communications and information in the conduct of Harrah’s business.
      • Continually promotes good will among guests and employees by noting special occasions to provide thank you notes, gifts or appreciation or personal follow-up by the SR VP/GM and VP of Ops/AGM. Makes decisions based upon company policies and procedures with the best interest of the executive team member in mind.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
      • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
      • Must be 21 years of age.
      • Must be able to obtain Missouri Gaming License.
      • Must pass background check
      • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
      • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
      • Must have excellent customer service/communication skills.
      • Knowledgeable in data entry, read and interpret output from a computer
      • Able to type 60 wpm
      • Possess strong communication skills
      • Secretarial experience must include knowledge of business English and spelling

      WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

      • Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality.
      • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs or more.
      • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time or entire shift.
      • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
      • Is able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
      • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
      • Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and responds to visual and aural cues.
      • Must have the dexterity to grip and work necessary items (chips, 10 key adding machine, money bags, computers, money, etc.).
