Administrative Help for After School Program
Support a cause that seeks to empower children with the knowledge and skills they need to build a brighter future. Your involvement will help create a supportive and enriching environment where students can thrive.
Barrio Logan College Institute is looking for individuals that can help with administrative work such as database/file management, data entry, curriculum planning, and more. Needs will depend on the site assigned, either Barrio Logan or El Cajon.
Some work may be completed remotely or be given a hybrid schedule depending on the site's needs.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Time Commitment: At least 1 semester (6 months). Long-term volunteers are preferred.
Onboarding Process: Application, interview, background check, and mandated reporter training. This process can take up to 2 weeks.
Required Skills/Experience: Basic computer skills, time management, and communication.
Physical Requirements: This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.
Attire: Volunteers' attire should be casual and comfortable. Wear clothes that are easy to move around in. You might be engaging in various activities with the children. Attire should also be neat and presentable. Ensure your clothes are clean and free of holes or excessive wear.
The mission of Barrio Logan College Institute is to break the cycle of poverty by preparing underserved students to be the first in their families to go to college through after school programs that begin in third grade.
