- A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining business continuity plans, emergency management preparedness, and, risk mitigation and response.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Positions allocable to this class function as administrative generalists in the central administrative staff organization, analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of a variety of operation problems having significant consequences in terms of cost, efficiency or service levels. Assignments are made in terms of objectives to be achieved and important guidelines to be considered; the selection of methods to be used is generally left to the discretion of the worker. The Administrative Services Analyst II analyzes and makes recommendations for the solution of a variety of problems of organization, budget, systems and procedures, program, facilities planning, general management, and health and safety at the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA).
The Administrative Services Division is responsible for providing the following support services to LACERA: budget administration, document imaging, facilities management, mail processing, and procurement. The Division also manages the following special programs: Business Continuity, Health and Safety, Contracts, Records and Information Management, and Ride Share.
The Administrative Services Analyst II may work within the following areas:
The current vacancy is in the Administrative Services Division however, the resulting eligible list can be used to fill any future vacancies in other work units and Divisions throughout LACERA.

Administrative Services Analyst II, LACERA.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, systems and procedures, program, budget or personnel.
-OR-
One (1) year of experience at the level of Staff Assistant I, LACERA, or Administrative Services Analyst I, LACERA analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, administration, budget, or personnel.
LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS II Light: Light physical effort which may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit, and some bending, stooping or squatting. Considerable walking may be involved. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of: Policies and procedures related to budget, procurement and inventory management, contract management, facilities management, business continuity and risk management, health, safety, and records management (State Law), correct English usage, including grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; researching, evaluating, and analyzing information; interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy; customer service skills; principals and applications of the Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and Access.
Ability to: Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing and maintain effective relationships with public and staff; understand and follow oral and written directions; provide leadership; work with minimum supervision; plan and organize their work and the work of all levels of staff; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff internally and externally; and operate a personal computer utilizing Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Access.
EXAMINATION CONTENT
The exam consists of a multiple choice and/or simulation test, weighted at 100%, assessing Professional Potential, Achievement, Coping with Uncertainty, Responsibility, Working to High Quality Standards, Willingness to Learn, Working Relationships, Analyzing Information, Learning Quickly, Generating New Ideas, Using Time Efficiently, Adapting to Change, and Deductive Reasoning.
MULTIPLE CHOICE AND/OR SIMULATION ASSESSMENTS ARE NOT REVIEWABLE BY CANDIDATES PER CIVIL SERVICE RULE 7.19 .
