Knowledge of applicable laws regulations. Knowledge of computers and software application programs.
Knowledge of database management and basic accounting principles.
Knowledge of filing and recordkeeping procedures.
Knowledge of customer service principles.
Ability to perform accurate data entry and manipulate data to generate reports and documents.
Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence, reports and other documents requiring attention to detail.
Ability to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews.
Serves as administrative support for the Communication and Quality Assurance Manager and Program Director including but not limited to processing and data entry of in-kind and other data sources, providing receptionist and telephone coverage, assisting vendors with deliveries.
Assists with the process and questions on enrollment, organizing, coordinating section projects, functions, meetings, events and monitoring.
Works with Content Area Specialist and implementation of professional development and other assigned activities.
Assists the Communication Manager in overseeing program data base systems and technology, along with department website and social media platforms.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The Administrative Specialist III is responsible with the direction of the supervisor, functions for the Head Start and Early Head Start program. This position prepares bi-monthly governance meetings/reports for Program Director and works closely with the Communication and Quality Assurance Manager on IT, database systems, social media etc. The position provides interpretation of applicable rules and regulations concerning state and federal agencies with the Early Head Start and Head Start programs and works in consultation with the Head Start Director and Quality Assurance Manager and works reception i.e. answering phones, monitoring entries/deliveries etc.
