      Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking team under the leadership of a friendly, dynamic multidisciplinary partnership? Nant Dowlais Health Centre opened on 1 July 2020, serving a 10,000 patient list in West Cwmbran. We are seeking an administrator to join our team, to cover maternity leave for 9 to 12 months.

      Main duties of the job

      • Run daily download and scan incoming mail.

      • Process incoming clinical correspondence using Workflow methodology, accurately coding all relevant information to the patient clinical record, completing non-clinical actions as requested in the letters, ensuring that clinical actions are completed by appropriate members of the clinical team.

      • Typing of referral letters using Lexacom as required, and weekly check of referral system to ensure all pending referrals have been sent.

      • Be the administrative lead on agreed clinical areas to manage recall systems, ensuring that patients are invited when due for routine monitoring of health conditions and prescribed medication, including those on shared care protocols.

      • Checking test result downloads promptly each morning, allocating/reallocating to the appropriate clinicians

      • Running accurate searches and ensure that claims for payment from the NHS are submitted accurately and promptly to maintain practice income.

      • Processing the records of new and transferred out records, and summarising new patient medical records, in line with practice protocols.

      Nant Dowlais Health Centre was formed on 1 July 2020 under the leadership of a dynamic multidisciplinary Partnership creating an innovative, progressive, high quality general practice.

      Fully embracing the Prudent Healthcare approach, our senior clinical team comprises GPs a Mental Health Advanced Nurse Practitioner and five advanced clinical practitioners including a Practice Pharmacist. Acute care is managed by an On Call Team led by a GP, based on the GP as Primary Care Consultant model. We provide a wide range of Enhanced Services which provides scope for special interests to be developed, for example in Minor Surgery, Womens Health.
