      About us:

      The Faculty of Law is one of the oldest professional faculties at the University of Toronto. Today, it is one of the world's great law schools. The Faculty’s rich academic program are complimented by its many legal clinics and public interest programs, and is supported by an array of in-house student services. The Faculty of Law is housed in the elegant, state-of–the-art Jackman Law Building alongside two historical buildings, Flavelle House and Falconer Hall, on the St. George Campus in downtown Toronto.

      Your opportunity:

      Under the general direction of the Registrar and working closely with the Senior Recruitment, Admissions & Diversity Outreach Officer and Manager, Financial Aid, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and supporting the JD admissions process and financial aid office. The Admissions & Financial Aid Coordinator is a member of the law school's student services team.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Conducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
      • Fostering positive relationships with prospective students
      • Implementing plans and process improvements for program activities
      • Interpreting academic regulations, program and degree requirements
      • Reviewing and assessing admissions applications
      • Advising students on financial aid/award matters by probing and providing a range of options and possible outcomes
      • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of education and experience.
      • Minimum four years' related experience, preferable in an admissions, registrar's or financial aid office.
      • Solid experience advising students on admissions and financial aid related matters.
      • Experience developing and implementing recruitment programs and presenting recruitment information sessions.
      • Excellent computer skills including intermediate (or above) knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, ROSI and various databases.
      • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

      USW Pay Band 12 -- $71,842 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $91,875. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
