      The Office of the Registrar is responsible for student recruitment and admissions, direct and online service to current students, including registration, financial aid, scholarships, academic assessments, graduation and petitions. It also provides course scheduling, administration of tests and exams, enrolment data analysis and business intelligence.

      Your opportunity:


      Under the general direction of the Assistant Registrar and Manager of Admissions, you will assess applications for admission and for transfer credit to the University of Toronto Scarborough in accordance with policies and enrolment goals. As a member of the Admissions & Student Recruitment team, you will join a group of professionals who value communication, innovation, student service, relationship building and access. This position offers you the opportunity to build networks with U of T staff, faculty and students across all three campuses, as well as to build connections with external stakeholders. As a member of an office committed to professional development, you will have the chance to build upon already established skills in process improvement, technology, admissions practices and transfer credit policy through resource sharing, workshops, conferences and self-directed learning.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Reviewing and assessing admissions applications across all applicant markets and types (domestic, international, transfer) sometimes independently and sometimes in collaboration and consultation with Enrolment Services
      • Determining which applications to refer to committee for selection
      • Facilitating educational workshops, training and seminars for diverse groups of future students, current students, faculty and staff
      • Analyzing statistical information to inform admissions projections and planning activities to support the campus in achieving enrolment goals
      • Coordinating admission and transfer credit processes with department/divisional contacts by sharing information, recommending processes, and providing in-depth knowledge
      • Providing detailed information on program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines to diverse groups of future students, current students, faculty and staff
      • Analyzing domestic and international documents to assess credentials against University equivalencies in order to make admission and transfer credit decisions
      • Analyzing service delivery and/or internal process and recommending improvements that will support the campus in achieving goals

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
      • Minimum four (4) years of related work experience in a post-secondary environment including assessing admissions and transfer credits.
      • Experience advising potential students.
      • Demonstrated knowledge of educational systems and international credential assessment.
      • Excellent knowledge of MS Office with particular proficiency in database and spreadsheet applications, Internet and email applications.
      • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain web-based information and applications.
      • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), judgement, organizational and analytical skills.
      • Proven ability to interact effectively with students and the public.
      • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing policies and procedures.

      Assets (Nonessential):

      • Supervisory experience.
      • Knowledge of ROSI/ACORN or similar student information database system.
