      Admissions Associate
      Must be 18 years old or older to apply
      Priority will be given to applicants that are available to work Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
      Starting Pay Rate $13.80

      Summary:
      This position assists in all operational aspects of the front gate and admissions facilities. Daily tasks include selling admission and parking tickets as well as scanning tickets at the front gate.
      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Meet and greet each guest
      • Assisting and dispensing of information to guests as they enter the zoo grounds
      • Maintain clean and safe environment
      • Operate point of sale equipment as required
      • Ensure best guest service
      • Operate cash register following established Zoo cash handling procedures
      Qualifications:
      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
      • Demonstrate accurate and precise cash handling abilities
      • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
      Ability to work 5 days a week, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays are required
      • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Exceptional phone skills
      • Possess skills to operate basic office equipment
      Education and/or Experience:
      • Prior cash handling experience preferred
      Physical Demands:
      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or or move up to 50 pounds.
