- Serve as a representative of Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College and its Admissions Office
- Actively recruit students to Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College
- Work towards achieving assigned territory and institutional enrollment goals
- Ability to clearly and simply articulate the value propositions of SWBTS, its degree programs, and the specific requirements for completing the application process
- Collaborate with the Office and Event Manager to provide superb visit experiences for all visitors to SWBTS and TBC.
- Assist with on-campus events including, but not limited to: Preview Days, Orientation, SWBTS Graduation, etc.
- Manage assigned part-time employees with the purpose of achieving effective territory recruitment
- Champion prospective students and their families as they consider becoming a Southwesterner.
- Assist the Director of Admissions in tasks related to accomplishing Admissions’ mission statement
- Provide and facilitate excellent communication to students and families throughout the course of the admissions process
- Responsible for cultivating relationships with students via tele-counseling, emails, text messages, in-person meetings
- Connect prospective students and applicants with offices across campus
- Assist in Admissions calling campaigns during the semester
- Work with the Enrollment Support Specialists and Application Processor to create a seamless application review and acceptance process for students
- Assist in reviewing and following up with applicants based on their current status
- Aid students in navigating the financial aid and class registration process at SWBTS/TBC
- Contact and assist prospective students; lead applicants through all phases of the enrollment process leading to full time residential enrollment at the Fort Worth campus.
- Actively recruit students to Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College
- Travel to and recruit at college fairs, high school visits, conferences, state conventions, youth gatherings, etc.
- Develop strategic travel plans aimed at accomplishing recruitment objectives including, but not limited to: attending events, meetings with students, and collecting prospective student contact information
- Network with global ministry leaders, local churches, and partner organizations to expand awareness for SWBTS/TBC
- Collaborate with Director of Admissions to provide an excellent visit experience for campus visitors.
- Present recruitment related materials (internally and externally) and help walk prospective students through the admissions process while on campus
- Host prospective student lunches and campus tours and be conversant in the college’s mission, goals, history, campus numbers/statistics, etc.
- Manage over 500+ applicants over the course of the recruitment cycle
- Annually host 300+ prospective students and families for campus visits
- Complete at least 1,000+ phone calls over the course of a year
- Deliver, manage, or respond to more than 2,500+ texts in a recruitment cycle
- Execute at least 4 (four) recruitment trips each semester, often including overnight stays
- Effectively and proactively respond to inbound communication within 1 business day
- The person in this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree (completed or in process, Master’s Degree from SWBTS preferred).
- English Required (Bilingual speaking abilities also desired) candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must have strong people skills with the ability to clearly communicate the mission, policies, and procedures of the Seminary/College.
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word; Must have the ability to adapt to new systems such as recruiting CRM databases.
- Pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously, and communicate with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Understanding of the importance of theological education and Christian higher education
- Ability to serve students and families with a high level of customer service
- Self-starter with administrative ability
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to be a part of a collaborative team
- Gifted at being able to listen, discern, and respond appropriately to students, families, and church leaders
- Successful completion of background check, education verification, work verification and credit check may be required.
- Ability to provide proof of Work Authorization in the U.S. and proof of identity.
- Valid driver’s license, successful clearance of Motor Vehicle Report (Driving Record).
- Some positions require proof of car insurance.
- Employment is generally in an office setting which requires personnel to be able to interact with others by various means of communicate and be able to traverse campus by any mode of personal transportation.
- Attend both chapel services during the week
- Limit to 6 hours per semester of graduate degree pursuits
- Weekend hours and travel is required
