      The Team
      The Coastal Wildfire Services team, which includes Records, Procurement, and Accounts Payable, is a collaborative group focused on supporting smooth operations and hiring processes. You’ll work closely with another Services Administrator, assisting the Services Office and Business Manager. We value dedication, teamwork, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.

      The Role
      In this role, you will work closely with another Services Administrator to manage hiring processes, ensuring letters are sent, received, and accurately tracked. You'll play a key role in winter hiring practices, helping to ensure proper pay and adherence to hiring standards. This position offers a great opportunity to learn about the organization, connect with team members across the province, and gain valuable government experience.

      Qualifications:
      Education and Experience Requirements

      • Diploma in a field related to business administration or public administration and 1 year of related experience; or
      • Certificate in business administration or public administration and 2 years of related experience; or
      • Grade 12 graduation plus 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training; and
      • Related experience should include the following: related financial administration experience in a computerized environment
      • Valid Class 5 driver licence.


      Preference statement(s)

      • Preference may be given to candidates with supervisory experience.
      • Preference may be given to candidates with minimum 1 year experience in contract administration.
      • Preference may be given to candidates who have completed training courses in contract and procurement management.


      Provisos /Willingness statement(s)

      • To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities, assignments and corporate structures.
      • To keep current on emerging issues.
      • To take in-house training and certification as required.
      • To fly in aircraft (fixed wing and rotary) as required.
      • To work extended hours, including weekends, and be on standby with limited notice in accordance with the preparedness plan.
      • To travel and overnight in remote locations where accommodations may vary as required.
      • To participate in Incident Command System positions as assigned.
      • To work under adverse or stressful conditions, including smoke, extreme heat and mountainous terrain in remote and isolated conditions.

      About this Position:
      This is a temporary opportunity until March 28, 2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.
      Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
      Flexible work options may not be available during emergency operations response periods.
      An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
      A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
